Meet Lisa

Hello! I'm Lisa! I was born in the Mississippi Delta, but raised in New Orleans, so this is home! I've travelled the U.S. extensively and lived in San Francisco for three years before coming home just a few months before Hurricane Katrina. 

A little about me:

Most days you can find me getting our daughter Jillian to and from school, designing events, trying to decide what to cook and how many squats I can do.  I am mostly known for my focus, drive, and passion for decor and design. People often refer to me as driven, focused, girlboss, a little sarcastic, and blunt, but my favorite title is "Mom." I love serving the events industry by knowing when to speak my mind, and when to keep my opinions to myself. The things I’m most passionate in life are first and foremost my daughter, and secondly, creating visual magic for my clients. When I’m not busy being a mom and running my company you can catch me planning my next vacation and buying shoes. As a successful event decorator, I’ve been featured everywhere from Martha Stewart and People Magazine to Grace Ormonde, Southern Living and Brides Magazine. 

We created our business nearly 10 years ago. All these years later, our passion is still candle-lit events, setting the mood and creating those "WOW" moments.

Team

Meet Jason

Jason was born and raised in New Orleans. He knows everyone and we can't go anywhere without him being stopped by old friends and acquaintances. From his 20+ years in the casino business, everyone knows 6'5" "Big Jay." Never one to shy away from cutting up, making jokes and being just plain likable, he lives by his nickname "Politician." 

Jason oversees the warehouse team, event installations, and event breakdowns (which are just as important as set up!) His approach is to always leave our venues as good, if not better, than we found it. It's all about respecting their "home." Our venue relationships are paramount.

Meet Thomas

Answering a call for a warehouse manager, Thomas never thought he would discover a love of candles and decor. With many years under his belt with Luminous Events, his eye for style and design has grown exponentially, along with his genuine interest in the subject matter.  

With a "get it done" attitude, Thomas is quick, efficient, and always ready to solve any issues that arise.  Rest easy when you see him on site - you're getting star treatment.

Meet Brandon

Brandon is our Jack-of-all-trades and in house MacGyver, always finding a way to make it work. Heading up our custom builds and construction department,  Brandon loves to take a project from the brainstorming session, all the way through placing the item in its perfect spot on location.

Don't let his relaxed attitude fool you, he cares about each and every detail to create an amazing finished product.
